Location

Luxor first opened its doors in October 1993. The name of the hotel comes from the city of Luxor, the ancient Thebes in Egypt. The hotel is consisting of the 30 story pyramid-shaped tower and more recently added two 22 story towers. Luxor is the seventh largest hotel in the world and the fourth largest in Las Vegas.
It is located on Las Vegas Strip in the southern end. Luxor is a member of the Green Leaders Program getting the Silver Level Award.

The closest airport to the hotel is McCarran International Airport, at 2.4 km / 1.5 miles. To walk around the city you can rent a car/bike, by bus, or you can do it by foot as the Las Vegas Strip is filled with hotels and casinos which are next to each other.
