* All contemporary styled bedrooms with double queen size beds, seating with sofa and arm chairs are fully air-conditioned and have a built in mini-bar, safety deposit box, cable TV, direct dial telephone and tea & coffee making facilities. Spacious marble and granite bathrooms are equipped with washbasins, bath and shower (or separate on request) hairdryer and make-up mirror. Sliding doors lead the guests to a large private balcony with furniture. According to preference, sea view rooms offer the best.

Location

Pestana Grand Ocean Hotel is located on an impressive headland, the 'Ponta da Cruz' in the western area of town, providing breathtaking views over the Atlantic Ocean and the steep, 580 m high cliff of 'Cabo Girao' - only a short distance from the historic city centre of Funchal.

The airport (Aeroporto Internacional da Madeira) is 35 minutes drive from the Pestana Grand Hotel. Low cost airport transfers are provided, from the airport to the hotel in luxurious mini buses or chauffer driven cars.

Adjoining the hotel is a pedestrian promenade that runs along the spectacular coast from the Lido area to the village of Camara de Lobos. The promenade is edged by luscious botanical gardens and has a myriad of viewing points and seats where the guests can enjoy the stunning scenery.
