The Michelin star restaurant serves Lyonnaise cuisine and guests can choose to dine in the grand old vaulted restaurant or step through an archway to a modern setting with glass walls for city views. Guests can enjoy the relaxed ambience of the restored church for drinks and cocktails and during summer enjoy drinks on the terrace overlooking the pool and city. Smokers can sample cigars from the cigar cellar.

Villa Florentine Hotel is set in a converted 16th century Renaissance convent perched atop the Old Town overlooking Lyon, two kilometres from its centre.

The building where today one finds “La Villa Florentine” was built in the 16th century on two lots of lands.

Since 1707, the building accommodated “La Maison de Providence” belonging to religious Trinitarians, established by Louise-Blanche-Thérèse de BALLON. They had the responsibility of educating poor young girls until the age of 20, so that at their departure from the “Providence” they were able to earn a living.

The chapel building, where you now have the hotel reception, was built between 1736 and 1741.
